What is Peace Village?

Peace Village is a 9 a.m.-5 p.m. summer day camp for kids that focuses on mindful movement, conflict resolution skills, media literacy, and connection with nature. The non-religious, non-sectarian curriculum—based in conflict resolution theory, modern neuroscience, and ancient mindfulness practices—helps participants cultivate a calm center from which to practice resilience, develop empathy, and activate peace building together. Plus, it will be loads of fun.

With divisive challenges facing our country today, what better time than now to help young people develop the skills they need to facilitate positive, peaceful transformation in their lives and their communities.

Registration available at shalomunitedchurch.org/pages/peace-village, starting April 13. Stay tuned for more details.
